Is there a way to run internal approval for estimates above certain value?

We're on the Plus version and I wonder if the Advanced version allows to create an internal workflow approval automation.

The option to create an internal workflow approval automation is unavailable in all QuickBooks Online versions, cromanr.

As a workaround, I recommend utilizing a third-party application. This way, you'll be able to find an app that'll help you run internal approval for estimates above a certain value. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Select the Find Apps tab and then search the app you want.
  3. Choose the app you wish from the list, then click to open.
  4. Once done, click on the Get app now button.

Aside from the steps above, you can also go directly to this link to find the best app that suits your business needs: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.

I also encourage you to visit our QuickBooks blog from time to time. Doing so helps you always stay updated with all the product improvements and newest added features.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you keep track of the status of your sales transactions: This helps you ensure your record is accurate: View Sales Transactions.

In case you'll need assistance in managing your transactions in QuickBooks, don't hesitate to let us know. This way, we'll be able to provide the help you need.

@romanr

What kind of business do you run? You may need a 3rd party app to do so.

Chemical manufacturing. We have a custom app that we developed for quote management a few years ago and before starting yet another version of development wanted to check what out-of-the-box solutions offer today. I see that QBO has a different focus at this point. That's ok.
