Good day, edenelite.
QuickBooks Online can generate statements by customer only. That means, we're unable to create a separate statement for project.
I can also send another feedback about this to our developers. That way, they'll know that you'd like to create a separate statement for project.
You'll want to read these articles for more details:

Thank you. I hope there is a faster resolution to our requests as this would really help achieve an efficient system.

It's been a year. Has this issue been fixed?
Thank you for posting here in the Community, @Dov006.
I understand how the ability to show the project name on the invoice is beneficial to your business. Right now, this feature is still unavailable.
To ensure your voice is heard, I will also pass along another feature request on your behalf. For the time being, I recommend you visit our blog and sign up for our Newsletter.
By doing so, you’ll receive email updates about the changes in the product. Our developers get inspiration from customers, so your voice makes a huge impact on the improvements.

You can do it, if you invoice your customer for all projects at the same time. create the invoice for the customer through the customer list and not through the project itself. you will be able to add all your billable expenses thought that. it will separate both projects with subtotals, name them (the name you gave the project). But WARNING DO NOT GROUP TIME. For whatever reason when you group time by services it does not split the time appropriately per project. it will not split a time service, therefore it will appropriate a complete time service to only one project even though you have some in multiple.
Other than that, yup, creating your own boxes to fill out every time is the only way to do it. I agree, there seems to be lots of things that need worked out.
I am struggling with these features not being developed and incorporated. This thread is over two years old and has not been implemented yet, seriously? what? Migrated over to projects and workaround to have shipping address as project, project number and project manager not available anymore. This is a very simple code addition that is needed. I am very disappointed!
Critical Addition needed! Under projects, add self-populating custom fields. ie - Project name, Project number, Project manager etc. are needed for project under customers.
Statements require this option too to separate projects under customers.

How do we get this expedited in the queue? This is critical

I have had lengthy discussions with support and they did not have a solution either. They issued a reference number with screen shots included also. How do I get this to be part of the online product as it was in the desktop version? Why would you send an invoice or statement to a customer without the project referenced?
I have been adding feedback multiple times a week to try to drive this to the top of the development queue. This seems to be a very simple code addition and the chain is over 2 years old.
Michael,
I agree - this is ridiculous! As soon as I saw the new project feature, I got excited thinking that I could finally separate my contractor billing by project - then I sadly realized that the project section is pretty useless. It serves no better purpose than the already existing sub-customers. Intuit REALLY needs to think through new feature enhancements. I wish someone would explain to me the benefit of the project feature - I don't get it - the project name will not appear on statements or invoices - to me it is completely useless! If you ask me they are too busy trying to sell bookkeeping services instead of their real job, which should be developing software!! Get with it people!
Still no fix on this, I guess? Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult for QB to incorporate this into their features, especially with so many customers asking for it.
Please escalate this and implement. This is a simple feature that should be included!
There needs to be a solution for this...If you have customer with multiple projects there is no way for them to know which project they are paying on...Had I had known that this was not possible, I would not have used this feature and I would have billed another way. I didn't realize this until I had printed and billed out over 700 customers I was left with hand writing the project on every invoice and statement. Very frustrating!!
Get it together QB development team. Why hasn't this been escalated? This is a function of desktop and not online. Make this happen immediately. This thread is over a year old.
Time to escalate and implement!
It would be nice to have bigger boxes or be capable of more characters in the custom fields. I have one for project and the other for address, but I can't put the entire address it cuts it off. Please if you can update it, it will make life more easier. Thanks!
Let make this happen Intuit developers!!! Its been over two years, escalate.
I will check with advance Setting but not showing for Project name how to enable
Hi Muthu1,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
lf you're following VP Controller's suggestion, you can click the Sales Settings instead of the Advanced settings. That's where you can find the option to add custom fields on your sales transactions, where you can place the project name.
Another workaround is to put enter the project name in the Item description field.
Let me know of you have other questions in mind.
Thanks for this workaround, but please explain why these are workarounds and not in development?
It feels like QB is living in 2000.
Any update on getting the Project name added to the invoice/estimate? Seems like a no brainer.
Thanks for following this thread, ophtek.
I can see how important for your business to add the project name to the invoice. I’m unable to provide a defined time frame when this feature becomes available.
Please know we look into providing the best customer experience when using QuickBooks. In the meantime, I recommend following the alternative steps shared by @vpcontroller.

I also would like to see this functionality automated. Manually entering the project name on each invoice is redundant when the system already identifies the project. It seems natural to have a field that could automatically populate with the project name so it is consistent with each invoice. Please, please work to make this an available option.
Thanks for joining the Community, Chantel1.
I can certainly understand how an option to automatically populate each invoice with their appropriate project names could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.
You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.
Here's how:
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. Feature requests can be tracked through the Customer Feedback website.
