is there a way to track Reconciliation activities in QuickBook desktop (please don't response with QB online's solutions)

Is there a way to track Reconciliation related transaction such as performing reconciliation works or any Undo last reconciliation activities?

Please don't reply with QuickBook online's solution. I'm using QuickBook Enterprise.

I tried using Audit Trail and could not find any reconciliation related transactions. If there is an option to edit the report to show the information I'm looking for please advise. But simply going into Audit Trail will not solve the problem, please don't reply with simple Audit Trail tutorial.

Thanks for your prompt reply, HandsomePacman.

I have a report that displays the information you're looking for.

You can run the Reconciliation Discrepancy report. This will display the modified transactions since your last reconciliation. They're sorted by statement dates. You will also see who made the changes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports > Banking > Reconciliation Discrepancy
  2. Choose the account from the drop-down menu, and then select OK
  3. Set the Dates and click the Customize Report button.
  4. From the Display tab, search for the Last modified by and put a check mark to include the column.
  5. Hit OK
  6. Review the report and look for the discrepancies. Talk with the person who made the change. There may be a reason why they made the change. Once you know, edit the transaction as needed.

For more information about fixing the reconciliation issues, you can check out the steps in this article: Fix issues when you're reconciling in QuickBooks Desktop.

Once you have all of the discrepancies sorted out, you can reconcile the account again.

Please let me know if you have more questions about the steps above. I'd be glad to help you out again. Take care and stay safe!

It's my pleasure to guide you in opening reports, @HandsomePacman.

We can locate the reconciled transactions by going to the Reports menu. Please note that you can only get reports for the last 120 reconciliations in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu, then go to Banking and select Previous Reconciliation.

2. Select the account you reconciled from the Account drop-down menu.

3. Click the reconciliation period you want to review in the Statement Ending Date section.

4. Select Detailed or Both for the report type. We recommend Detailed if you're using the report to fix a reconciliation.

5. Choose which transactions you want to see on the report:

  1. Transactions cleared at the time of reconciliation: This gives you a snapshot. It only shows transactions in the account at the time of the reconciliation.
  2. Transactions cleared plus any changes made to those transactions: This shows transactions in the account at the time of reconciliation. It also shows where they currently are in your accounts.

For more insights, refer to this article: Get reports for previous reconciliations in QuickBooks Desktop.

Here's an article for your future reference in case you'll have trouble with previous bank reconciliation: Resolve common issues on the Previous Reconciliation report.

Feel free to get in touch if you need anything else. I'm always around here to lend a hand.

Thank you for your response, but what I am looking for is the transactions, what have been done and which user has done each transaction. There is a lot of discrepancies on our bank rec and we would like to figure out how it happened.
