I have also used a CRM which allows the picture with a barcode. This is really helpful for customers that have ordered a new product, the incoming stock can be taken onto inventory on arrival using the hand scanner.
The image as a minimum should be on every line as a option, again very helpful to customers and their staff that may be either unfamiliar or having to sift products that appear to be very similar.
I too would like to use the photos of products on a work order page we send to the manufacturing plant to help the crew identify a product instead of relying on only the description. It may cut down on sending incorrect products to a customer.
I would like to add my vote for this feature. It is beyond obvious to implement this. I also wasted my time uploading images for no reason. Taking years and years, only to never implement a simple feature that should have been there from the beginning shows that you do not in fact take suggestions seriously as you say.
You know what would be better for me? If we could print BARCODE images on every line of an invoice... This would make our lives SO much easier. But I promise, this wont happen...
I am in the furniture business and arrived at this thread because I was looking for this feature.
It seems like an obviously good feature for both estimates and invoice templates.
Is quickbooks considering this seriously?

Hello isaac-c,
Per checking, I haven't seen an announcement about this at the moment. You may want to find an app that can do invoicing with pictures. Just click App and search one.
We have a lot of requests from users, and yes, we're considering requests, as well. In fact, we have a forum where users can send suggestions. You can check this out: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/.
Let me know if you have other questions in mind.
I agree! I am an interior designer who used QB and switched to better visually pleasing, easy to navigate management software like IVY, Made the invoices so easy to read and presentable. Took the guesswork from the client, and even allowed them to approve line items or the entire invoice at once. Unfortunately Ivy was bought out by Houzz and the interface is not the same and you still needed QB for your books. So am switching back to QB and ma happy to see the improvements, but would be great that it adds the feature of each line items having their corresponding image, as clients sometimes forget what the items looked like, and it's a feature that would save us time. Making things easier for our clients, makes the entire approval process much more streamlined. Personally, having a "service date" tab on the invoice is useless to me. I wish it would be customizable so each trade was able to customize the overall look of their invoices.
Guys this is really incomprehensible to think that after 5 years that no implementation took place after so many requests. Placing the images on the invoices shouldn't be more than 2 lines of codes. You already have it uploaded on the Products page. To make it appear the images is the simplest thing that your developers can implement. It seems to me that these requests have not been communicated to the appropriate department in your organization. This begs the question- What is the role of moderators and QB members on this platform?
I would also like to be able to have my product photos on my invoices and estimates. I just spent a lot of time uploading pictures to discover they are of no use.
i see this chain is from 2020, is there really still not a feature to add the photo of each item on the invoice?
Apparently, there is just not enough demand for this feature because QB hasn’t implemented it. Although they have raised my monthly rate twice.
It's good to see you here in the Community, @emilycline.
I can see the convenience of being able to add photos on invoices for you and your business transactions. However, this feature is currently unavailable. I recommend sending your feedback so our developers can consider adding this option in the future. To do so, please follow the steps below:
You can refer to this link so you can track the status of your request and get the latest updates from our development team: QuickBooks Online Customer Feedback
You may also want to find available apps on our Appstore that have this feature.
I'm adding this link that you can utilize to help you split an estimate into many invoices in QBO: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have additional concerns with your invoices in QuickBooks. I'm just a reply away.
I would also like this instituted, it has become the norm in many industries. I also have a customer that requires it or they are going to use a different company that can provide it.
Please advise if this is something that will be done soon or if it is still on the maybe some time list so that I can give my potential client a straight answer.
Comical isn't? And three years later and rates increased still no photo upload.
I can't believe this option - to include photos of a product WITHIN the invoice line items being purchased - is not available yet! I have a client who is a jewelry designer & manufacturer and this feature would be tremendously helpful not only for the customer to confirm what they purchased by looking at it, but also for the manufacturing team to see the photo in the invoice and confirm what they need.
Can anyone recommend any app intergrations to get this done? It's a shame that we'd need an app to do this when the functionality to store product images is certainly there in QBO. You guys just need to add it as a feature on the invoice already!

hurry up QB. other programs are coming out and integrating photos and taking away your business.
lord, charge an additional $5 a month and do it already. clients will pay to have the photo options.
Please add my vote for this feature. Customers appreciate an image next to the description on invoice copies and on packing slips so that they can easily check in the material against the image. Especially for products that they are not familiar with - or for folks who have English as a second language. I sell plumbing products. I know what a "toilet ballcock" is, but does the person checking in the order know what this is when it appears on an packing slip or invoice? With an image they can find the item in the shipping container and properly check the item to their stock and confirm it against the invoice. What is the use of the " image" in "products and services" if that image just sits on your screen within Quickbooks?
Please add this functionality!

There are other comparable products that includes it.

QuickBooks developers always search for ways to improve user experience by promoting helpful and efficient features to streamline processes that suit your business needs. That being said, the program is constantly updating its features and functionalities to stay current and competitive.
At this moment, we're unable to provide a specific time frame for when this feature becomes available.
Furthermore, you can visit his page to stay up to date on the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online. Alternatively, we can add the product image manually to the invoice. There's a section on the lower left where you can attach the image up to 20MB in size. I've added a screenshot for your reference:
Also, to assist you in managing your account and growing your business with QBO, I recommend visiting one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.
Feel free to get back to me here in the Community space if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. It'll be my pleasure to cater to them again. Stay safe, and have a nice day!
Sounds like a great feature to have!
Yes! This is badly needed, when you create an estimate, being able to add an image, is more compelling for the customer to approve your estimate. I would request the ability to export my product list including the image for each product.
Adding an image when creating an estimate can benefit you and your business, @M-Hazan. Here are some insights into this feature.
Incorporating a picture into an estimate can be advantageous for your clients or customers to visualize the item. However, due to certain product limitations in QBO, adding a specific picture for each item is unavailable. In such cases, you can manually include a product image using the Attachments option in Estimates. It's also worth noting that the product image cannot be exported once exporting the product list. You will need to manually select the images in the attachments. Here's how to do it:
Furthermore, it's crucial to be able to add an image when creating an invoice or estimate and to export the product and service with its image. In this regard, we recommend sending a message to our developer team. This way, they can review your concern and may consider it for future product enhancements. Here's how you can do that:
Moreover, you can save time when entering the same details by converting your created estimates into an invoice in QBO.
Post here or comment below for a guide when further managing your Estimates or any sales form or transactions in QBO. We're here to help you. Keep safe.
