You may cancel your QB Payment account and utilize MP to accept payment for free.

Yes, you can actually unsync or remove your QuickBooks Payments account in QuickBooks Online. This will temporarily remove the option of letting your customer pay their invoices online. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Payments tab.
  3. In the Payment Methods, remove the credit card or ACH.

Just in case you're unable to see the option to remove it, you'll need to contact us to complete the process.

Hi there,

 

When I go to the Payments section I don't find a Payments method tab so I can disable customers being able to pay us through QBO. Any idea why that is so?

I've checked here on my end and found an ongoing investigation. Other users have also experienced the same issue with the missing payment options. Please know that our team is aware of this matter, and it's being prioritized. 

 

As of now, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team so you'll be added to the list of affected users and be notified when there's already a resolution. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to Help (?), then click Contact Us.
  2. Please enter your question and select Let's talk.
  3. Review and Select from the following: Ask the communityHave us call you, or Chat with us.
