Issue with Quickbooks Invoicing!!Trying to send a new invoice but when you go to email or print it shows a larger amount (including all outstanding unpaid invoices)

Hi joshbriere,

I'll guide you to remove the Account Summary section if you don't want to see the totals of the outstanding invoices.

  1. Click the Customize option at the bottom on the invoice page.
  2. Choose Edit Current to edit the selected (checked) template.
  3. Click the Content bar and click the middle section of the previewed invoice on the right.
  4. In the Account summary section on the left, remove the checkmark in the Show on invoice checkbox. You will see the changes on the previewed invoice as you change something in the Content setting.
  5. Click Done to save your changes.

You can go back to the invoice and try printing it again. If you'd like, you can also send it to your email before sending it to your customer. See more information about customizing invoices.

Thank you for this.  I was very surprised today that when I sent an invoice to a customer for one of my clients that just happened to have open invoices; that the outstanding ones showed up as a statement.  It can be useful, but I hadn't remembered the area to uncheck to show on invoice.  Thanks for updating me.
