Hi
I've jsut started using Quickbooks on behalf of a client and want to view all journal entries for the current financial year - including payroll. Can anyone tell me where I can find them? Its driving me mad looking for them and I'm wasting so much time! I can see how to create a new one, just not the ones already created.
Thanks
Mary
You can pull up the Journal report in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @MaryChristina. This way, you'll be able to view all the journal entries for the current financial year and effectively manage your client's account. Let me guide you how.
The Journal report in QBO lets you view your journal entries, payroll, and other transactions like checks, invoices, and payments to name a few. You can pull up the said report through the Reports menu, then customize it to view the specific information you need. Here's how:
I've attached screenshots below for your reference.
Additionally, financial reports in QBO give you snapshots of different areas of your client's business. For the complete list of available reports based on the version you're using, kindly check out this article: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription. Once you choose to pull up one, you can customize, print, email, and export the said report.
You can learn more about the report features in QBO through this article's Do more with reports in QuickBooks section: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. It also includes articles on how to run payroll and accounts receivable aging reports to name a few.
I'm also adding this article to further guide you in effectively managing your client's QuickBooks account: QBO Help articles. It contains topics about account management, banking, reports and accounting, and income and expenses to name a few.
Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
Thanks Rea. That works.
Have to admit, I'm finding Quickbooks a bit clunky! Really have to go around the houses to find basic info'!
Very time consuming but I guess I'll get used to it.
Thanks Again
Mary
Thanks for following up about this, MaryChristina.
I'm happy to hear Rea_M's steps were helpful in finding the journal entries you were looking for.
There's also a link to our help article archives in their post. This can be very helpful when initially starting to use QuickBooks Online. As Rea mentioned, it contains various resources about using the platform. One particular section that may come in handy is titled Getting Started. There, you'll be able to find articles about setting things up initially, importing data, and navigating through your client's books.
Additionally, if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting the Community. Someone like myself will always be here to provide assistance. Have a lovely day!
