This explanation doesn't work. Here is a screen shot of the customer information. I can't add a second file, but trust me the invoice does not show the customer name.

Since your customer names aren't displaying on invoices, I'd recommend checking the browser. It's possible this could have something to do with temporary internet files. Browsing applications store these types of records, but sometimes they can cause issues with certain webpages. You can open a private window and check to see if their names show up.
Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:
If names are displayed on invoices while browsing privately, it's safe to say this problem's being caused by your browser. It can be fixed by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.
In the event it continues occurring while using incognito, you'll initially want to try switching to another browsing application.

You can also check a browser's compatibility with your books by utilizing our browser health checkup tool. QuickBooks supports the current and two previous versions of browsers. If you find that you're using an older version, make sure to update it to its latest release. Steps for doing so can be found on the particular company's website.
In the event you've found no problems that could be causing this with your browser, I'd recommend using a different device and/or internet connection. If it continues happening on other devices and/or internet connections, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

I have never seen this before, but happened today.
I have the display name in the edit tab, but when you email or print the invoice the Customer name is not pulling through into the address box.
I have cleared cache, using Incognito mode in chrome, firefox. This is happened on only a few Customers for June 2022 and some display the company name and some unfortunately don't.

Thank you for being such a loyal customer and for taking the initial troubleshooting steps.
I found out that the ticket for the non-displaying customer name has been closed, and a fix has been rolled out to all affected accounts. Rest assured that we will check your case. However, I recommend contacting QBO Support so they can get your account details in a more secure environment and check it further.

I've got this problem, tried everything, all these suggestions, nothing works, very annoying and I've already chatted with Quickbooks adviser, thought it was fixed, then doing it again. Will have to talk to Quickbooks again. Yes, I have tried private browser too.
This actually worked for me. No matter what I did, it would not display the customer name on the invoice but then I remember I had added "USA" for the country (like I have for other customers but did this after the fact). So I went in and deleted the USA and bam - it displayed the name again!
This is insane. My invoices printed correctly BEFORE you “upgraded” them against my will to this new style. There should at least have been a warning the names would no longer display. NOBODY SENDS INVOICES WITH NO NAME! On top of that and there were 4 hours I wasted last week because I had to delete all our markups and change the price line to match our billing rate on every single invoice line for a ton of I invoices because yet again, the invoices looked fine as I entered them but when I emailed them or printed them then the calculations were suddenly screwy and it added an hour to each line with a markup but kept the total the same so my rates were different on every single row. CLEARLY NOBODY TESTED THIS UPDATE to be usable for actually sending invoices. How dare you waste our time like this!!!!!!!!!!
Your post brought it to my attention. On my purchase orders and remittance advice, QBO is pulling the wrong information on our templates.
I don't even know the address it has inserted there. This wasn't like this last week and now all the templates are reflecting the wrong information, reflecting wrong address, telephone number and email.
I am using incognito mode.
VERY FRUSTRATING considering we have sent so many PO's and Rems with the wrong details on them!
At least I know now I’m not crazy. Thank you. FYI the ones you sent out might be ok. I got a payment yesterday and the customer included a printed copy of our invoice with their check, and magically the name is correct on their invoice. Yet when I print the same invoice from my system the name is missing. So it’s likely it got broken sometime between now and a week ago when I sent them. Of course now that I know this is possible I’m going to have to check rates and names and addresses to be correct immediately before sending every single time. I just don’t get it why everyone isn’t having this issue. Are they just not looking or is something weird with our accounts??
