Join nowBefore I get too far down the road of setting up my financial statements I am wondering if my thinking is correct. Do I put my multiple exhibits as categories to track them separately and yet have them add up total wise to Exhibit income? Or is there a better way. Thanks

That works but I would not use items for the fairs
Track the fairs with either a class tag or location tag. Down the road you may stop going to one or add additional fairs to your outings
Thanks for the idea but QB Online does not allow the use of class or location.
I wonder if you could make the fairs the customer and bring in the retail sales that way.
Good day, Ilovelotty.
The class and location tracking feature is available in QuickBooks Online Plus only.
In your case, you can set up multiple exhibits as categories to track them separately. Though, I suggest consulting your accountant on the best way to track your exhibit income.
