Am I the only person who has an issue with the fact that Quickbooks has removed all of the previous years Payroll Tax Forms? If you needed to print out an employee's previous year's W-2 or if you needed access to your quarterly 941s, you could find them under Payroll Taxes. Now if you need any of the above etc,. you have to call Quickbooks and have them contact "The Back Office" to try to figure out how to get these forms to you, because Quickbooks made the changes but did not advise nor did they train their staff on how to retrieve the forms on their end.
This is just stupid and a complete waste of my time.
I completely understand your frustration and concern regarding retrieving previously filed forms in QuickBooks, @SJ3351.
I can imagine how inconvenient it must be to encounter issues related to the missing of previous years' Payroll Tax Forms. I'm here to provide insights into addressing this issue.
QuickBooks allows the viewing of payroll forms for the previous year only. If you need to access to W2s and 941s from further back, you will need to get in touch with our support team.
If you need to view or print payroll forms from last year, you should be able to see and access them under the Payroll Taxes menu. For more information, you can review this link: View your previously filed tax forms and payments.
Lastly, I will provide you with the following articles that will guide you through the process of recording tax payments for previous tax periods and electronically filing and paying payroll taxes:
If you have any more questions about retrieving the forms you need, please don't hesitate to get back to this thread. I'll be around to help.
That is incorrect. The only forms available under Archived are those from Q2 of the current year. You just verified one of the issues. Quickbooks makes changes yet their employees are neither informed nor trained on those changes. I've attached a screenshot of the only archived forms available. Please note the time frame is 01/01/2022-12/31/2022.
