I double posted the reply so I'm just editing this one. Please see the other that includes a screenshot with the tag feature off, still showing the tags tabs that need to be skipped through by clicking tab an extra 2-3 times.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think it works. I went into Quickbooks Labs where it is already off. I talked to chat support yesterday before posting here who said there was no way to get rid of it right now. You'd think turning it off would actually remove the fields.......... Yet turning it off does absolutely nothing
So with it off, I turned it on and turned it off again - yet the areas are still in every single window. I guess there isn't a way to get rid of these extra data fields that QB thinks we needed which are making things more cumbersome and more time consuming to their users.
Please let me know if I am missing something and thank you for your quick reply.
I wish they'd actually implement something worthwhile, like being able to export 1 whole year of data on a report such as a sales receipt report, without getting the "too much data error".................

I also don't like it if a certain feature is delaying me when using a particular software. I'm here to share some insights with you about removing tags.
The ability to disable the Tags feature in QuickBooks Online is being rolled out to half of the users. For the other companies, they're currently unable to turn off the feature in QuickBooks Labs. And even though the feature is already turned off, it will still display in the transactions window. Rest assured that the engineers are working hard on having an option to disable this.
Aside from that, I also appreciate you for sharing a wonderful suggestion about exporting data. I'll take note of this idea.

Thanks Charlene. I have no interest in tags. I understand what they're for and how they work, but QB Online is such an inferior product compared to the desktop version when it comes down to situations like this, namely the inferior reporting ability for year-end (when it's needed most) and the terrible back-end issues at yearend when things get busy for everyon.
I don't understand why QB Online can't serve its customers 100% at once and has to roll it out individually.... If it needs to do that because it doesn't have the resources to properly serve its customers, then the least QB Online can do is give those users selected the ability to HAVE and to TURN OFF the features immediately. Staggering these features only causes QB Online's customers frustration, nonetheless at the worst time of year possible.... How can I expedite this issue to get the issue to disable this? This is not really acceptable that I have the menu option to turn on and turn it off, yet it is already on when it is off in the menu, and I can't turn it off. What a way to roll out a product... QB online disappoints over and over. The point is to make it easier, not more time consuming.

Thanks. I'm rewriting because I'm guessing my last post wasn't approved.
1) There is no reason why QB Online should roll out any features to select users without having the ability to turn it off
2) The menu ability to turn it on and off doesn't work and needs to also be rolled out. The feature shouldn't be rolled out period without having the ability to turn it on and off.
3) QB online should be striving to make it more friendlier to its users, not make it more cumbersome and time consuming at the worst time of the year possible, literally, days before year-end.
How can I get this expedited as an Advanced User with dedicated support?

Please remove the TAG feature on invoices or at least give me the option to do so
Don't clutter the interface because someone had a perceived good idea, quick books should be just that.
