Based on the details you've provided about your client's bank reconciles disappearing, I suggest recovering the lost data with the Auto Data Recovery tool. This will allow your client to recover their lost or corrupted data as long as QuickBooks has the latest update. To reference the steps on how to do so, you can check out this article: How to recover lost data with QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery. Other users have also found it helpful to run a Verify and Rebuild of their company file. I'll include the steps below to show you how:
2. If you get a specific error message or "your data has lost integrity," then you'll need to run the rebuild tool.
3. Go to the File tab, cruse over Utilities, and choose Rebuild Data.
4. Backup your company file to start the rebuild process.
5. Once you receive the message, "Rebuild has complete," click OK.
Now your client's reconcile data is restored to their company file, and they can get back to business.
Please don't hesitate to touch base with me here if you need any additional assistance. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Thank you for your help. Can I try this on an Accountant's copy? If it works then I'll know it will work without damaging their files and if it doesn't I'll try something new.
