I've got a very interesting problem.
I'm pretty familiar with troubleshooting PDF issues but this one has me stumped.
I'm saving PDF reports to a network drive from Quickbooks Enterprise v21.
I can save the PDF reports into many folders \\network drive\quickbooks\reports\2022\test.pdf
But not in others with a longer path name. Such as: \\network drive\quickbooks\reports\2022\folder 2\long folder name\Report.pdf
Other programs have no issue saving into that folder and I can print to PDF and then save it with no issues.
Other computers in the company have no issue saving to that folder using the same login credentials.
Anyone seen anything like this before?
Hi there, @ET707.
I'm here to help you save your PDF file.
One possible reason why you’re having the issue is that the pdf reader is damage. There are several users who were able to fix it by running the pdf repair tool. Below are the steps to do this:
If this won’t work, you can proceed to solution two, three and four in this article: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
For future reference, you might want to make sure your QuickBooks release version is updated.
Let me know how it goes. I'll be right here if you need anything else, as I want to make sure this is taken care of. Have a good one!
Yes, unfortunately I've tried all that.
I've run the Tool Hub Repairs.
Repair installed Quickbooks
Manually UN-installed the Microsoft XPS printer driver and reinstalled
Did an SFC /Scannow and DISM repair.
I've had PDF printing / saving issues many times before with other systems.
This issue is unique because it works to save PDF reports into some folders but not others.
I thought it was a folder permission issue but other programs can save just fine into the same folder.
