Is it possible to use one bundle as a component of another bundle in QBO Plus, similar to creating an assembly in Desktop Enterprise?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You cannot make a bundle out of a bundle, as you can only select products and services for a new bundle. But you can copy a bundle you have already created and then add more products and services to the new bundle.
no you can not do that in QBO

Thank you for this tip. When I called Intuit Support, they said there's an extra cost service that will allow this, but they wouldn't give me any details without my client being on the call as well. I suspect it's an add-on, but will follow up and post here if there's more to add.
If you want to better manage your inventory, use the SOS Inventory applications from the QBO app store for creating Assembly transactions & Item Group transactions. QBO #1 rated inventory management applications.
One would think the world's premier accounting software would not have to rely on a third-party software to perform an inventory function.

Great point!
Having a pretty solid background in ERP and WMS systems, I can say that developing a solid, location-enabled, inventory package that has the full suite of capabilities for receiving, shipping, identifying, and valuing inventory is no small thing. QuickBooks sells itself as an accounting solution and not an ERP solution. Having a corral of recommended apps that connect squarely with QuickBooks to carry on the functions of manufacturing, warehouse management, and material resource planning is, in my opinion, a smart and necessary move on QB's part.
Intuit has acquired an inventory management app as part of the family recently.

It has a simple assembly feature. Should you need more features, it works with a manufacturing app

Any update to this? I am new to QB Online (from Desktop) and I am beyond livid that you cannot build inventory assemblies in Online. How are you supposed to track and create inventory?? SOS costs a minimum $50 per month? This is so unacceptable. Has anyone found a workaround?
Thank you for posting here in the Community, @BS30.

If you only need to manage up tp 50 orders per month, I can recommend a free app to integrate with QBO.
Great! What is the free app? Thank you!
Explore this one.
And you may need to use a connector to mirror data with QBO.
