We are using QuickBooks POS v 18 in our museum shop. We just completed an inventory (using the inventory worksheet) and imported the data into the program. How come when we run the Inventory Valuation report many items are MISSING from the report? Some books with 1000s of inventory are just not there yet they were on the inventory worksheet that we printed. What is flagging it to not appear on the list. We checked the items and they are all of TYPE: Inventory and everything else seems to be the same with the items that do appear on the report. help? Thanks. Kathy
It isn't the kind of experience that we want you to come across, Kathy.
Let's ensure that your POS is updated to the latest release. Let me guide you how:
If the same thing happens, I'd recommend reaching out to our Point of Sale support. This way, an agent can do a screen-share with you and verify what causes the missing data on the report.
You can contact them through this link: QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
Let me know how these steps work on your end. Keep safe!
Thank you. We found another report that would do what we want but for some reason it's blank. What are we not seeing? It's the PI Detail report under Inventory > Start Physical Inventory > want to > Run report > PI Detail Report. we run it and there are no items in it. We only have one company so not sure why they are not there. Any idea? Thanks.
Thanks for getting back to us here, @KathybaMHS.
I'll share some information about pulling up the PI Detail Report. You'll want to make sure you've modified the report's date to display the items.
If the report date is correct and you're still unable to view the items, you can repair the QBDT POS. This process will help resolve errors you encounter when using the program.
Here's how:

Okay that makes me super nervous. It's not going to remove our data is it? If we repair it? thanks
Kathy
Hello @KathybaMHS,
You don't have to worry, repairing QuickBooks POS doesn't affect any of your data stored in the software.
But if the issue persists, I highly recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. With their tools, one of our specialists can investigate what is the reason behind this unexpected behavior.
To do so, you can connect with our specialists by following the steps outlined in this article: Contact Payments or Point of Sale Support.
Additionally, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) FAQs.
If you have any other questions, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
