Recurring Projects

We use QBO for a car club where we have individual projects/events throughout the year.  An example would be an Autocross event (1-8) that repeats in subsequent years.  Should Autocross #1, #2, #3, etc, be entered without a date so each event could be repeated yearly under the same entry, or should each event be tied to a specific year thus repeating the entry in each calendar year?  If we start a new project each year, is there a limit as to how many projects can be entered?  We have approximately 40 projects/events each year so over time there would be a lot of entries.

Thanks

Bob

Recurring Projects

Hi Bob,

I'm here to help with your project concern.

Creating recurring projects in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently not an option. When creating a project in QBO, you can set a Start and End date to track when the project began and ended. And there's no limit to making projects. Only Chart of Accounts, Classes, or Locations and Billable users have a limit.

To know more about how the project feature works, see this article: Create and manage projects in QuickBooks Online.

For future reference, here's an article in case you'd want to run reports to view a snapshot of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you have other questions about using QuickBooks to manage your client's business finances. I'm always here to help.

@Carrera09s

Consider having a project management application to integrate with QBO. You will need more features to manage your projects neatly.
