Scheduled reports

I appreciate the detailed information you've shared, rashmihassija. Getting timely monitoring of your financial data to be sent through emails is relevant, so you can keep track of your business cashflows. I've come to provide insights to help resolve scheduled report email delivery errors.

In QuickBooks Desktop, setting up scheduled reports needs specific requirements before being sent at a fixed time. Since the User Account Control (UAC) is disabled, you need to make sure to verify the following information:

  • The computer you set up the scheduled report on is running and NOT in sleep or hibernate mode.
  • QuickBooks is running.
    • A company file with a scheduled report should be open.
    • If you have scheduled reports on multiple company files, NO Company file should be opened.
  • QuickBooks is updated to the latest release.
  • The company file is in single-user mode.
  • If the email preference is set to Outlook, make sure it's open and running.

In addition to that, you have the Keep QuickBooks running for quick startups preference disabled. Here's a guide to check this:

  1. Select the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
  2. From the left menu, select General, then choose My Preferences tab.
  3. Uncheck the box for Keep QuickBooks running for quick startupNote: This preference is NOT available for QuickBooks 2018 and later.

I'll be sharing this reference for more detailed information: Set up and modify Scheduled Reports.

If the issue persists, I suggest checking your spam or junk folders to verify the emails received.

In case you want to manage the monthly statements of your account, you can review and reconcile your data to make sure they match your real-life bank records.

This information can now ensure that scheduled reports are seamlessly delivered to your emails. Just keep me posted if there's anything else I can further help you with. I'm always available to back you up. Keep safe and have a good one!
