I've seen how to send remit advice for ACH payments in the QBO, but I can't find out the best way to send it in the desktop version. We want to start going to more ACH payments, but if we can't find an easy/clean way to do the remit advice, we wont. Please help.
Hi there, @joneill1186.
Currently, the Remittance advice feature is only available in the UK and Global version of QuickBooks Desktop.
I understand the importance of this feature to your business. Rest assured, I'll personally send this feedback to our product developers. This way, it might be given a chance to be added to our next product update.
In the meantime, I suggest visiting our QuickBooks Blog to stay updated with our enhancement or product updates.
If you require additional information about this, let me know and I'm here to help. Take care always.
Thanks for the update Michelle. I send a product suggestion via my QB program literally every day. I hope this gets addressed soon.
Is there any update on printing remittance advices from QB Desktop in the US?
Thanks for joining us here in the Community, @Nilly.
As mentioned by my peer MichelleBh the option to process and print remittance advice is currently offered to the UK and international versions of QuickBooks. We don't have a specific time frame regarding the availability of the feature.
For QuickBooks Desktop US, you can only print the expense transactions like the paid bills and send it to your vendor afterward.
However, I'd suggest sending this preference to our developers. This way, this matter will be taken into consideration. Know that we're always finding ways to cope with your business needs.
To do that:

sorry, new to QB, so this may be a dumb question... how do I print the expense transactions?

I got you covered in printing your expense transactions in QuickBooks Desktop, @Nilly.
You can print the paid bills that you have and send them to your vendor. This way, they'll be aware of the payments that you've processed.
Here's how:
You can also open the bill directly and press on Print at the top. Please see the sample screenshot attached:

Lastly, I've added here a link that you can use to help you in navigating QuickBooks together with its great features: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop.
Please keep me posted if you have any other issues in the comment section. I'm more than willing to help. Have a wonderful day!
This is ridiculous that it is offered in other versions of QB, but not in the US version. It is the main reason I've held off on sending ACH payments.
I have a pre-typed list of improvements I would like to see in quickbooks. I submit it once a week via the product suggestion method.
Explore an additional app as a workaround.
Is there an update to this thread? Has the functionality been added to the US addition?
Thanks for following along with the thread, @PKellogg.
At this time, the ability to send remittance advice is not available in our US edition of QuickBooks. Please know that we understand the importance of having this feature become available.
Our Developers strive to make QuickBooks as beneficial to all of our users as possible. When you send in product suggestions, they review each one and consider them all for future updates.
Please feel free to send in your thoughts and suggestions at any time. You can do so by following the guided steps by my colleague, BettyJaneB, above.
I'm here if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a good one!
You said you would send this request to developers over two years ago! This is an absolutely necessary feature we need. Please can you hurry up?
I understand that you urgently need to send a remittance using QuickBooks, kcervino.
This feature has been forwarded to our Product Team. However, we don't know when are they going to implement the remittance advice option.
Let me add this site where you can see and explore the latest features and improvements: Firm of the Future.
On the other hand, you can use QuickBooks Payments to allow customers to pay invoices online. You can browse this article for additional information: Learn how to receive and process customer payments for invoices and in-person sales.

How do you do it in the international version of QB Desktop? Does this include Canada as international?
This is the absolutely dumbest thing I have ever seen. Some of these responses are two years old. And we still cant print a remittance.
Is the ability to send Remittance Advice available in Quickbooks ONLINE, not desktop? I see instructions online for doing it the the UK version, but Send Remittance is not shown in Batch Actions for QBO. Btw, I am running the Advanced version.
I'm here to share some information about sending remittance advice in QuickBooks Online (QBO) @mcvickchic.
I understand the benefits of sending remittance advice to help manage your business easier. Currently, the option to do it is unavailable in the US version. It can only be accessed in the QBO UK and Global region.
For now, I recommend sending feedback to our Product Developer Team so they can see your request and consider it for the next program update.
Here's how:
You can visit our QBO Customer Feedback website to track your request and see other feature updates.
Furthermore, check out this reference to manage your business expenses efficiently: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QBO.
