Thanks for dropping by the Community space, @onecallvent.
I tried adding an invoice with a duplicate number to recreate the same pop-up message. However, the warning notification I received is different.

May I know if you're using a 3rd-party app in recording invoices? If so, I recommend contacting the software's support team for help in getting around the issue.
If not, let's try turning off the Custom transaction numbers feature in the program. That way, the program will automatically assign the right numbers to your sales forms.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
- Select the Sales tab and click the pencil icon in the Sales form content section.
- Deselect Custom transaction numbers.
- Hit Save, then Done to record the new setting.
