When I select Reports, then Employee and Payroll, then More Payroll report in Excel, Tax Forms Worksheets, I received a security message regarding Macros have been disabled. I have followed the instructions for the excel product I have, and still the message does not allow for information to show in report. I am using Quickbooks desktop pro plus 2022. Please assist with advise on how I can get this report to work in Excel? this used to work in my previous Quickbook version 2019.
Thanks for checking in with us, @Genesis804.
I want to make sure you'll be able to export everything into Excel. Let's get you back up and running.
You can avoid this message by trusting the digital signature the workbook template is signed with.
Here's how:

I'm still here if anything may arise while exporting to Excel via QuickBooks Desktop.
This solution provided may be helpful to others, but did not work for me. However, I did find another solution which did work as follows:
In Excel program, go to File
>Options
>Trust Center
>Trust Center Settings
>Trusted Locations
>Add New Location (which is toward bottom of screen)
Enter C:\Quickbooks 2022\Components\Templates
When I went back to Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 program and clicked on Reports, then Employees and Payroll, then More Payroll Reports in Excel--it opens and imports the requested information.
Hope this is helpful to other users. It worked for me!
I am having the same issue since switching to QB 2022 from the 2019 Desktop version. When trying to enable macros, I get a similar security alert pop-up to what you have shown in your response, but only have one option as shown on the attached screenshot. I also tried to add a trusted location as @Genesis804 suggested, but that didn't seem to work for me either.
I am having the same problem getting the tax form Excel report to run. None of the previous suggested resolutions have worked. When clicking on the Advanced Options selection under Enable Content I get an alert that the digital signature has been tampered with. See screenshot.
Here's what I did that seemed to work (see attached screenshot). I went into the trust center settings and added a new location and listed it as shown on my screenshot. I found another post that mentioned clicking the box that mentioned sub folders. This seemed to work after trying to load the report again.
This is the proper path for the trusted location in Excel for Quickbooks Desktop 2022:
C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2022\Components\Templates\
Screenshot not working. Here is the proper trusted location in Excel for QuickBooks Desktop 2022:
C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2022\Components\Templates\
That's the wrong path for the trusted location. For QuickBooks 2022, this is the correct default location:
C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2022\Components\Templates\
Intuit, WHY has this bug not been fixed in QuickBooks 2022 Release 7(R7) ???
This bug was reported here nearly a year ago, and is still not fixed. Ridiculous.
when i hover over the words macros have been disabled it does not change to look like a hyperlink. i have to click on the line underneath and it never gives me the option to enable the macros
Let's work together to ensure that you can successfully open the exported report in Excel., Nana0307.
Macros is a feature or add-on integrated into Microsoft Excel. Enabling this feature depends on your Windows settings or the location where the file is saved.
For example, the ability to turn it on might be restricted because the file is opened in an unsafe location such as the Temp Folder. It also happens if the system administrator has set the security policy in your organization to disable all macros without notification.
Although, you can try the other way of enabling macros for a specific workbook. Here's how:
In addition, you can carry out the following troubleshooting steps to explore more options:

If you're still unable to locate the option to enable Macros, I advise reaching out to Microsoft's support team or visiting their website for further assistance.
