I'll share some steps that can help you make sure that your mobile app is working properly and will be able to recognize and matches receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed. We can reset the application to refresh it. Follow the steps below:

Then close and reopen the app to check if it's works. If still get the same result, let's uninstall and reinstall the app to start on a clean cliche.

The instructions you gave for iOS aren’t accurate. I couldn’t find the menu you referenced.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone but it didn’t solve the glitch. I believe it is a problem on your server side and recognition software.

I'd suggest reaching out to them so they can pull up your account in a private setting and determine the reason as to why the app no longer recognizes and matches receipts, and troubleshoot it for you. You can reach out to them by following these steps:
