The invitation to view the 1099 is EXPIRED already. My contractors have not even received their paper documents in the mail yet. How do i re-send a login invitation?

Also - if you login to Intuit, there is no place at all to see the status of your 1099's, if they have actually been mailed out or not.

Thanks for checking out the Community space, tessnowak1.

I'll be glad to show you the steps in resending the link. You can go to the contractor's profile to email the invite again. Here's how to do it:

  1. Select Payroll from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Contactors tab.
  3. Choose the contractor from the list.
  4. In the contractor's profile, click the Send a reminder link.
  5. From the Send a reminder window, click Send to resend the email.

Moreover, your contractors should receive their 1099 copies about a week or two after the date they were e-filed. Please know that Tax1099 is our official partner in mailing the 1099s, you can follow the steps in this Tax1099 article, Where Can I See My Submitted Forms? to track the status of your tax forms.

Do you have additional questions about this topic? You can visit our FAQs section here: What is a 1099 and do I need to file one?

Feel welcome to reach out to me again with any questions you may have and I would be more than happy to help.

My contractor profile does not have a link to resend the 1099 (using Quickbooks Online).  Is there another way to resend the link to access the 1099?

I appreciate you for joining the thread, @CSSchool.

You can send the invite by recreating the contractor's name on your record. I'm here to help you how.

First, inactivate the contractor's name.

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click on Payroll at the left pane, then select Employees.a27 1.PNG
  3. Select the contractor's name.
  4. Choose Mark as inactive from the name's drop-down.a27 2.PNG

After that, you're now ready to resend the invite by adding the contactor again.

  1. Go back to the Contractors window, then click on Add a contractora27 3.PNG
  2. Input the contractor's name and email address.a27 5.PNG
  3. Mark the box beside the Email this contractor to complete their profile section.
  4. Hit Add Contractor.

Once done, the Send a reminder link is available under the Write Check tab if there are no Personal details entered on his/her record.
