Time by Job report crashes Quickbooks

I'll help you resolve the issue of unable to edit the font of your accounting reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.

If your QBDT is updated to the latest release, I recommend running the Verify and Rebuild tool. Verify Data tool will identify the data issues of your company file. Rebuild Data tool will resolve the data integrity issues collated by the Verify Data tool.

Here's how:

1. Go to the File menu.
2. Select Utilities.
3. Click Verify Data, then select OK to close all windows.
4. Then, go back to the File menu.
5. Select Rebuild Data under Utilities.
6. QuickBooks will ask to make a backup before rebuilding your company file. 
7. Select OK.
8. Once done, click OK.

Once done and you still have the same issue, you can run the Quick Fix My Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Follow the steps below.

1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

If everything works, you can then run a report and memorized the customization. Refer to this article: Create, access and modify memorized reports.

Still crashes.  QB solution is that they are working on but best to upgrade to 2023 versions.

So they are not supporting old version.

QB solutions still had system crash, they said working on error but the best solution is to upgrade to 2023. Basically they aren't supporting older version.

I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there are currently no records of subscribers reporting that the Time by Job report crashes Quickbooks.

There have been 2 critical updates to QBDT2021 since this error has occurred and neither have solved the issue. The solution (as many of us have been told) is to just pay to upgrade to 2023. This custom filter has worked consistently for a decade for me. Please fix.

I haven't reported it and I will tomorrow morning, but I also cannot print any time by job reports.  It immediately crashes QBDT.  This just started within the past few days. I use this report often and never had a problem until now. It is extremely inconvenient to not have access to it.

4. Choose the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. It will take approximately one minute to run.
5. Try printing, emailing, or saving as a PDF from QuickBooks Desktop again.
