"'To Print' is really just a check number.
Unfortunately, that isn't true. It is a Status. You see the text, which is not always verifying the Status.
"2. Rather than enter a check number, type 'To Print'. As you start typing it should pop up"
Open any of these checks, where you see "to Print" from the Register view, to confirm the To Print box on the Ribbon is Checkmarked. You can also batch print from a check:

Open any of these checks, where you see "to Print" from the Register view, to confirm the To Print box on the Ribbon is Checkmarked. You simply Confirm it. That's how you know what it is or is not doing. This is one of the may reasons why I recommend Not working in the Register view, in fact. Not all tools offer access to all functions.

So is there a way to batch enter checks, but have them go straight to the print Que on QB online. Or is there away to select multiple checks that have already been entered and switch them to Print Later status?
Thanks for joining us here, dbbBrandon.
For now, there's no option to enter multiple checks in QucikBooks Online. You'll need to create or enter one check at a time. Checking the Print Later box will also be done one transaction one at a time.
Please keep us posted if you have other questions. We're always here to help.
Thanks. I know you can batch enter checks on Quick Books Online. It would be really useful to be able to select "print later" when batch entering checks.
Utilize the trial period of TPI to do so. You may import data in bulk and make sure to put "Y" in the field of "ToBePrinted" column.
