We have a new printer and I correctly set up payroll checks but my regular checks which are the same as my payroll checks are not aligned and I do not understand that.

For printing preprinted check that is too high, you can choose a letter further down the list to move the information down the page. For your guidelines, you can go to Printing too high section in this article: How to align preprinted paychecks.

If the same thing happens, you'll need to re-align your preprinted check stock and print it again. You can follow the steps and details in the Align and print your preprinted check stock section in the article I've provided.
