I appreciate your interest in using bill pay, @Summer Medical. I'll share with you some information about the charges or fees when using this method.
Yes, you won't be charged for using a bank transfer. Otherwise, you're making payments via debit or credit card. This means you'll be the one who receives a transaction fee for each payment you process.
For your second question, I recommend contacting your bank. This way, we can ensure you'll get an accurate response regarding the fees.
Lastly, the posting of the transactions or payment processing varies by bank. It could be instant or take 3–4 business days.

I subscribed for "QuickBooks Bill Pay Basic". Based on the plan, the first 5 ACH transactions are supposed to be free. more than that will have a $0.5 charge. BUT I'm being charge the $0.5 on every transactions. So far, I've been having 1 or 2 transactions per month, which is within the limits. Yet the transaction fee is charged. Why is that?
Hello there, AriaMD.
I'll go over how processing fees work in QuickBooks Bill Pay with QuickBooks Online. Let me also ensure that you get routed to the appropriate support staff to assist you with verifying the charge you received.
Yes, you are correct that the Basic plan provides 5 free ACH payments per month. There's only an additional $0.50/transaction if you exceed the mentioned transaction process.
Furthermore, quicker ACH Payments incur an additional $10 processing fee for each bill payment. Then, check payments cost $1.50 for each transaction.
Since you've mentioned that you've only had one or two transactions per month, you're not supposed to be charged $0.5. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They're the best support group for such inquiries as they can request account information. They can verify further why you're being charged.

Thanks for the info. But it looks like Melio is no longer integrated with the QBO? I read on the help that "QuickBooks Online recently announced the discontinuation of the Melio integration"
Hi there, @AriaMD.
Allow me to share some information about your confusion about QuickBooks Online (QBO) recently announced the discontinuation of the Melio integration.
Accountants that use Bill Pay powered by BILL to manage and pay their firm's bills through QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) will leave on 9/19. These accountants can then move over to Bill Pay powered by Melio.
Bill Pay powered by Bill.com's in-product model is going away (not the Bill.com app), and we want to notify these accountants they can move to Bill Pay powered by Melio until QB Bill Pay is available in QBOA in early 2024. We are replacing this option with QuickBooks Bill Pay, which allows users to pay their bills directly through QuickBooks rather than through a third party.
We are sending out an email to users notifying them that Bill Pay powered by Bill.com will be sunsetted on 9/19, and later on, these users will also receive more notifications on when they can sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay and any steps they need to know about to help with transitioning over to QuickBooks Bill Pay.
I've also included a couple of detailed resources about QuickBooks Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online:
We're glad to have you on board in the Community. If you have any questions or concerns about QuickBooks Bill Pay, feel free to ask.
They discountinued the BillPay powered by Melio feature. You can signup a separate Melio account to integrate with QBO. You can click on the link I mentioned earlier for details.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
