Why are you holding my deposit. This not your money to hold and the delay is why I’m looking at other software to invoice from.

Let me share some details about why your deposits are on hold, @David.

QuickBooks Payments deposits funds within 5 business days after your initial payment. The first few deposits may take longer as we set up your merchant account, but payments generally deposit within 2 business days after set up.

If you process payments before 3 pm PT, you should receive them in your bank account within two business days. Otherwise, we will start the deposit on the following business day.

Let me show you how you can check your deposit speed in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Go to Settings and select Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

If it's been more than 5 business days and you still haven't received your deposit, then let me guide you on how to check the status of the deposit and if it's funded successfully or being withheld.

Here's how to check the status of your deposit:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center account, then click on Transactions.
  2. You'll see the word Withheld in the Method column. This indicates that the payment is on hold and we're reviewing it.

If the status of your deposit is on hold, please check your email for instructions on how to manage withheld funds. If you require further assistance, please reach out to Payments Support.

For more information you can read this article: Why are my funds on hold?

Lastly, you can access and manage your QuickBooks Payments to track your transactions and update your information if needed.

If you have any inquiries regarding deposits on hold or any other concerns related to QuickBooks, please inform me by leaving a comment below. I am more than willing to offer further assistance. Stay safe!

Same exact issue with me / same client now on their third payment to me and being held for 7-19 days each time. Merchant should be setup by now. It’s a scam - they are using our money for short term investments it’s an absolute joke

Same issue with Me, it has now been 15 days and they can not tell me any specific reason as to why and don’t contact me back as they keep promising they will. It’s so frustrating ! I’m about to cancel my subscription with them.
On to of that they charge a ridiculous amount of money for any deposits they receive and transfer over!!

Intuit says they hold your money in their accounts for your safety. I guess they think that if you get your money too fast you might be harmed.

Wells Fargo makes my deposits available same-day, and my merchant service Blue Pay makes my funds available next-day business day. Every single time. I'm lucky to have escaped unscathed from such a horror!

I’m having this issue now. It shows they need more information, but that I should check my email for next steps. The problem? They haven’t sent me an email at all. Not in any inbox or spam. The transaction is identical to ones I’ve been receiving from the same client for months now.
