Hello there, @valerieharned.
Thank you for getting back to us and asking the Community about customizing reports in QBO. I can share some more insights to achieve your goal.
You can run and customize the Sales by Product/Services Detail report. I'd be happy to walk you through the steps:
The report doesn't have a filter to add your customer's address. As a suggestion, you can run another report that shows the address:
Then, you can combine these reports through Excel so you can have all the information in one report. Just click the Export icon.
To know more about customizing QBO report, please refer to this article: How to customize reports.
There you have it, valerieharned.
Click "Reply" if you have follow up questions about reports. I'd be around to help you more. Wishing you all the best!
Hi there, @valerieharned.
It's nice to have you here in the Community. I can assist you with pulling up a customized report that shows Annual Sales of a Product/Service by Customer and to include Customer address information.
You can pull up a Transaction List By Customer and customize it with shipping address.
Here's how:
I've attached some screenshots to visualize the steps:
That should do it, @valerieharned.
Please let me know if you're referring to something else. I'm just around the corner to provide additional assistance. Have a great week ahead!
Thank you for responding. I went through the steps you mention below, but am still missing some pieces of information. Below is the list of columns needed for the report. We are a non-profit and need to run a donor list with their total donations for their tax letters.
Report needs to include:
Product/Service (I need to be able to choose from my list)
Class
Customer first name
Customer last name
Customer address
Date of transaction
Amount of transaction
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have created the Sales by Product/Service report.
However the Customer Contact List doesn't allow me to choose the Product/Service. So the address would not match the Sales by Product report.
Is there a report that I can see what customers purchased what products that include the address?
It seems the address option drops off between customer and sales reports.
Greetings, valerieharned.
It’s great to have you back in the Online Community. Allow me to step in for a moment and provide additional information about running a sales by product report.
Currently, there is not a direct report that shows the customers addresses and products they purchased. As a workaround, I recommend running the reports provided by @HoneyLynn_G.
I’ve informed our product developers that you want to have this report added in a future update. They also want to know your thoughts on how we can improve the functionalities in QuickBooks Online.
I suggest sending your comments by selecting the Gear icon, then Feedback.
If you have additional questions about running reports, don't hesitate to leave a comment below. I'm always here to answer them.

Your original question is very clear to me. I understand what you want.
Unfortunately, such an option to customize the report as you want is not possible in QBO. You will find most of the reports in QBO are not filterable (or customizable) as you want. It's been like that for a while.
Thank you. I have run the two reports as suggested and will delete customers not needed.
This seems to be a basic sales report that a business would want, I'm surprised it's not an option, but hopefully the developers can make that available soon.
Thank you for your time!
Hey there! In your post you say "Currently, there is not a direct report that shows the customers addresses and products they purchased. As a workaround, I recommend running the reports provided by @HoneyLynn_G."
Do you know how to find those reports by HoneyLynn? I went to her profile but I can't find a way to filter through all her responses and she has a quite a lot.
Any help is appreciated, thanks much!
Thanks for joining the conversation, @Jake_Goodman.

I believe that this thread already answered my question but I'll try to ask to make sure.
I need a report that is filtered by the product/item, and shows the purchase, the customer, the customer contact info.
Basically I want a report where I can say, these customers bought this item, and I want to be able to send them an email or postcard. Is that option available?
Hello there, whizbank.
You can run the Sales by Product Detail and Customer Contact List reports, then customize them from there.
The detailed steps are provided above by my colleague @HoneyLynn_G.
You can learn more details about customizing reports in this article.
Please let us know if you have other QuickBooks concerns. We're always here to help.
Hi, Is this available on Quickbooks online or only on Quickbooks desktop? I'm trying this on QBO and these fields don't seem to be available for me to customise.
Thanks for joining the thread, svanika.
The steps provided are available for QuickBooks Online. If you're trying to run the Sales by Product/Service Detail report, this is only available in QuickBooks Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. This can be the reason why you're unable to see it and customize it. Please check out the reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription to see the lists available for your version.
If you're using Simple Start, you can upgrade to any of the subscriptions I mentioned above for you to get the report.
I'm also adding these links about customizing and running reports in QBO for your guide:
Please let me know if you have any other concerns. I'd be glad to help you out.
The best workaround I found is to run the product sales detail report including a column for email. Then run a Customer report. Export into excel. Then use vlookup formulas to connect the reports with the email field as the shared field. It will take a bit to learn but after that it's pretty easy to do.

QuickBooks A/R statements and reports won't show you the data needed for donor letters/statements - or create the statements. QuickBooks doesn't have a feature to create such statements, showing the reportable payments for the year or other period. Instead, you can use our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online or BRC Donor Statements - Desktop tool to create the statements.
These tools report on cash received and will include Payments on Invoices, Sales Receipts, and Deposits - in cases where you record your donations directly as deposits. They offer many customization options. For example, you can include a detail or a summary table of donations, or no table. You can include custom text to thank your donors, complete with "mail merge" type fields, so each statement will address the donor by name, and can include the donation total and other fields in the text. You can also include logo and signature files on the statements.
The tools create statements that are ready to print, tri-fold and mail, and if you use windowed envelopes you can print your company and donor addresses on the statements - and align them - so you don't even need to create and use use address labels.
Sales by Product/Services Detail report does not show up in my version of quickbooks. It was there a week or so ago but now now WHY
Welcome to the Community, @BSKINGO.
I'm here to help you run Sales by Product/Services Detail report in QuickBooks Online.
This report is available in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus and Advanced plan. Did you downgrade your plan? If so, this can be the reason why the report is not showing in your current QuickBooks Online version.
See this article for the list of reports included to different QuickBooks Online plans: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.
If you did not downgrade, we'll have to perform a browser troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue.
The stored files in your browser are typically the source of unexpected behavior or failures in QBO. Your cache saves the files from many websites you visit, so you can quickly load the pages the following time. The browsing speed of websites like QBO may be impacted if the cache is retaining too much data.
It's a good idea to check for issues brought on by a full cache when browsing anonymously because doing so prevents the cache from recording your browsing data. You may also try to use other browsers.
If the steps above will not work, you can use supported browsers as an alternative.
If the given procedures are successful, I advise you to clear the cache in your browser to avoid utilizing outdated forms, safeguard your data, and improve the performance of our programs on your computer.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care team. You can request a screen-sharing session so they can investigate further the reason for this issue.
