Running Account Specific Reports

Can someone tell me how to run an account specific report?  Online version is very different than the desktop version that i am used to.  I have all of my bank accounts in QB, but only want the reports for my business account.  For example, how would I run a P&L using only my business account? Also, I don't see a Income Tax Detail Report like there was in the Desktop version.  Any help would be appreciated!

Running Account Specific Reports

Hi, @Judy5789. Thanks for dropping by the Community.

I'd be glad to share some information about running reports for a specific account in QuickBooks Online.

Let me show you how:

  1. Login to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts
  3. Find the account.
  4. Select Run report in the Action column or from the View register dropdown list.

You can also run a Profit and Loss report by bank account. You'll just need to turn on first the location tracking in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced.

There are different reports in QuickBooks Online. This depends on the aspect of your business. Some focus on sales, others on your spending, and some look at parts of each.

You can utilize this article to learn more about them: Run reports in QuickBooks Online
