To clarify, are you referring to sending schedule reports? Can you email any other forms out, such as an invoice? If you're running into the same issue sending other forms as you are with reports, let try some basic troubleshooting steps. 

 

If you haven't already, update QuickBooks to the latest release. Then email a test report to yourself. 

 

If you're still getting an error message, let's check your email settings. Here's how: 

 

  1. Follow the steps to enable access for less secure apps.
  2. You can also set access preferences for specific apps, like QuickBooks.
  3. Go back into QuickBooks and email yourself a test transaction.

Also, let's go ahead and turn off the 2-Step Verification feature for your Gmail account.

Turning off 2 step verification worked for me but is a temporary fix as Google is moving to require it for all personal accounts. Will there be a permanent fix for this that doesn't require turning it off?

I had the same problem with emailing out paystubs. Google is rolling out requiring us to have 2 step verification so I had turned it on. Turning it off allowed me to email again, but with Google's intent to make this a requirement there will need to be a permanent fix that takes that into account once we can no longer turn it off.
