Share Link to a "paid" invoice the "Message on the invoice" is not shown

When I send a link to a paid invoice (unpaid is fine) the "Message on the invoice" is not printed on the invoice. In QB download the invoice it shows.

 

I have a list of items in the message on the invoice that the customer needs so I cannot send them a link for them to view paid invoices. Instead I have to download and send them the PDF

 

Thought I would see if anyone else experienced this, I probably should have searched for other posts, but ah, well.

Let me share some insights with you about the message on the invoice. I'll make sure that you'll be able to let your customer view the message. 

 

The link to view the invoice should have the same format when you export the PDF. After checking the format, you can try to resend the invoice and check if the message shows or not. I'd also like to add that it's best to attach the PDF when sending the invoice online.

I don't need help I am reporting a bug. 

 

Yes, the link to view the invoice SHOULD have the same format when you export the PDF

 

It does for unpaid invoices, but for paid invoices, when you send a link, and view or download the invoice from that link, then, the "Message on the invoice" is not shown.

 

You don't have support so I have to enter this bug here.  Please fix it.

Please know that we have a QuickBooks Support Team that can always assists you with any concerns you may have. You have the option to request a callback or how you want to contact them and fill in the information so the support can discuss the concerns with you. They also have the tools to pull up your account and investigate the cause of the issue so they can make a statement about this problem.

 

I recommend going to the Help icon. From there, you have the option to enter your phone number to request a callback. Please note that they're only open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday.

 

Here's how to contact them:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. Choose the Assistant section.
  4. Type your concern in the Type something field.
  5. Click Talk to a human.
  6. Click I still need a human.
  7. Click the Get help from a human.
  8. You'll be routed into the How can we help? page. Then, select callback or how you want to contact them and fill in the information.

That is exactly what I did and it brought me here.

 

Please do report the problem and if someone cannot reproduce it then it's fine to contact me, I will show them the problem.

 

I have a workaround and am being very nice to you by reporting the bug.
