When importing a CSV file, the online program requires either 3 or 4 columns. If an incorrectly formatted file is uploaded, the option will gray out or you will receive an error.

If the file is properly formatted, try importing your statements. If you continue to get the same result, open QBO via the Incognito mode or the InPrivate window. This type of session doesn’t store data as a normal web page does.

Here’s how to open one:

• For Internet Explorer or Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
• For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
• For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If this works fine, clear the cache of your regular browser to improve its overall performance.  This process is just emptying the cache, so the next time you display a webpage, everything must be downloaded anew.

1. Click on the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
2. From there, choose how you want to reach out to our support team: Ask a question or Talk to a human.
   
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
