You'll want to recativate the product/services first, dreyes1.
Here's how:

Thank you for your response. The product services have been active all the time. It is on the estimate that some of the line items (product/services) appear as closed with a green check mark and I am unable to remove the check mark. Thanks.

Thank you for your response but, again, this process did not fix the problem. I cannot un-checked the closed box; the system dos not allow it. It looks like it is disabled. Thank You.
Hi there, dreyes1.
Currently, unchecking directly the status of the estimate under the Estimate page is unavailable. You'll need to click the drop-down arrow beside the checkmark to change the status to pending or open. That being said, you're not able to create an invoice for the bill once the estimate is closed.
I attached a screenshot below for visual reference on how to change the status of the estimate from close to pending.
After that, you can convent now the estimate into an invoice. Follow these steps:

Thank you for your response but, again, this does not resolve the problem. I am not sure if I am not explaining myself correctly. The estimate is not closed, the product/services are not closed and I can bill the estimate (w/out the lines that appear as closed). Some of the line services on the estimate have a green check mark under the "close" column and the system is not allowing me to un-check them. Please look at each of the columns on an estimate, on the column that says "close" there are some line items that have a green check mark. I am not sure how those check marks got there since I haven't closed any of the services on the estimate and I am unable to uncheck them.
Thanks for getting back to us, @dreyes1.
The possible reason the products and services in your estimates are shown as closed is if you invoiced the total amount for those items. To edit them, you'll have to open the linked invoice, then update the amount in the Due column.
Also, you can add estimate summaries to invoices so your customers can view their remaining balance.
I'm just a few clicks away if you have additional QuickBooks concerns. Have a great day!
I also have issues with closed items. I do not want to change my original estimate, but just bill what I need to for those items even if they go over the estimated item.
Hello there, @ck20.
The line item in the estimate is closed if the amount isn't partially invoiced to the customer. To have it unchecked, you have to delete the invoice that is linked to the estimate.
You've also mentioned going over the amount of the estimate. To do this correctly, you can edit the estimate before sending the invoice to your customer. However, if you've already sent multiple invoices, you may go directly to the estimate. Then, modify it before creating a new invoice you want to link to it. There will be a prompt if you will modify it confirm by clicking the Yes button. The changes will take effect on the new invoices, not the existing ones.
I've added some screenshots for your additional reference:

Just wondering if you ever found a solution for this? We were just forced to switch to QB online and I'm having this problem. It never was a problem in Desktop.
