The parent company drop down does not work in the new customer entry window

usually i start typing the name of the parent company and it appears. or i can click the down arrow and it will show all the customers i can make this new customer a sub-customer of. Now nothing

I just would like to make sure that we're on the same page. Are you referring to the drop-down menu from the Customer information window? If yes, the parent one will automatically appear when you start typing the name or click the drop-down menu.

 

It could be that you're experiencing a browser-related issue. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online (QBO), to act weirdly. Try logging into your QBO account using a private browser. You can use the shortcut keys below:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

If this works, it means that you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If the same thing happens, I recommend switching to a different browser:

 

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox. Note: To preview and print forms on Mac OS, you'll also need the Firefox PDF plugin.
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only)
