Unable to Find source of Income Tracker: Time & Expenses Balances

I setup my customer as tenants in our rental properties, and use classes to track each property location. I clicked on the Income Tracker shortcut and see balances for my customers. I am not sure why these are appearing. When I double-click on a row, I get a popup Create Invoice and Choose Billable Time and Costs. I can't find where these amount are coming from.

I followed some instructions in one of the forums and ran this report: Reports | Customers & Receivable | Unbilled Cost by Job and got this: which is totally different and not sure why these are coming up as unbilled as I drilled down to the Journal entry and it indicates this is Not Billable

Unable to Find source of Income Tracker: Time & Expenses Balances

Hello there, JillienProperties.

I appreciate the screenshots and the details you've provided. It's my goal to get this working for you,

There can be a possible issue with your data which can be fixed by downloading the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool is designed to automatically diagnose and fix common issues within the software.

Below are the instructions on how to do it:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version ( of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  6. Once the  QuickBooks Tool Hub is open, select Program Problems.
  7. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  8. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

To ensure the components are properly updated, please restart the computer after running the tool.

Then, try running the reports again. If this doesn't work, we can try using the Rebuild Data tool in QuickBooks Desktop. This tool is used to fix any possible data damage within your company file. Let me show you the steps on how to perform this below:

  1. From the File menu.
  2. Click on Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data/ Verify Data.

Be sure to get back to me if you have follow-up questions. I'm always happy to help. Have a good day!

Unable to Find source of Income Tracker: Time & Expenses Balances

Already ran Verify/Rebuild. No resolution. Ran the Tool Hub and got the following errors.

QuickBooks Team

Unable to Find source of Income Tracker: Time & Expenses Balances

Thanks for getting back to us, @JillienProperties.

Since the issue persists after following the steps shared by my colleague above, I highly suggest contacting our Support Team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check the cause of this behavior. They can also perform other troubleshooting steps to fix this for you.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. In QuickBooks, go to the Help menu at the top to get to the QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

I'm also adding this article that has a different QuickBooks Desktop troubleshooting tool: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm more than willing to help. Have a great day!
