Greetings, @ravikothari.
It's nice to have you here in the Community. I'm here to provide some information about the report that you want to pull up in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The option to pull up an Inventory by Location report is an awesome idea! However, this report is currently unavailable since QBO can't assign a location to specific products and services.
In the meantime, you can pull up Sales by Location Detail and Purchases by Location Detail reports as a workaround. Here's how:
1. Go to Reports menu at the left panel, then enter Sales by Location Detail or Purchases by Location Detail on the search bar (depending on what you'd like to pull up first).
2. Select Customize at the top, then click the Filter drop-down.
3. Put a check mark on Location, then choose a location on the drop-down.
4. Click Run Report.
Just in case you need it, you may check out these articles for more information:
While this option isn't available yet, I encourage you to submit a feedback to our Product Development Team for review when determining features to be added in updates. This can be done directly through your account by clicking the Gear icon in the top right corner, then select Feedback or by going to the following link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests. I'm going to submit my feedback as well.
That's it! Please let me know how it goes or if I can be of additional assistance. I'm only a post away should you have any follow-up concerns. Take care.
i was looking at the answer on inventory by location. how it is not possible? from the start, you assign location already, on purchase and sales you can assign location also. why it does not appear in the inventory report by location if all modules or transactions you are creating locations?
Hello there, 9130 3470 0063 5636.
You got it right that you can assign location on purchase order and sales order. However, it's available in the product and services.
Since we're unable to designate a specific location under it, you can run the Sales by Location Detail and Purchase by Location Detail reports as a workaround.
You can follow the steps provided by my colleague above.
Rest assured, I'll also personally take note of your idea and share it with our Development Team.
I'm just a post away if you need more help.
The problem is that, I have three warehouses in three different locations and the same products are available in all my warehouses but the cost of sale is different for the same product in the another location.
as a work around I inserted the location name in the product name. the location name in the invoices look not good but I have to do that to manage my inventory. I hope this problem to be solved soonest.
