Buy now & saveWhy is it, that after being required by QB to update QB, that my Memorized Reports are all screwed up?
They're missing fields that were there before the update.
Doesn't seem like much of an update if it breaks all my reports.
(QB Enterprise Manu & Wholesale 24.0 Release R14P)
Thank you for alerting us to the updates on the memorized reports, @DUCKS495. Allow me to share some steps to resolve this.
QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) updates aim to improve software functionality and fix any previous version release updates. When there's a system update, sometimes there can be unforeseen effects on existing features, such as memorized reports. I have had the same experience with other programs I rely on. I understand updating can be sometimes cumbersome, especially if this is the only software I can depend on. Here are a few solutions you can consider to address this issue:
If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support team. They have advanced tools to examine your account and suggest specific fixes for this QBDT Enterprise's R14 version.
After significant updates, Intuit always releases patches to fix subsequent issues. We can check if there are any newer patches or updates and ensure to tick the Reset Update box, allowing QuickBooks to download the latest patches and clear the update history: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This is a Canadian article, but the steps in the 'Install the update' section can also be applied to the QBDT US version.
Following these steps would help identify and potentially resolve the problems with your memorized reports. Let us know if you need more help with QuickBooks updates, reports, and QuickBooks-related issues. Anytime, we'll be there to assist.
While well-intentioned, your suggestions are either useless or ridculous.
I shouldn't have to manually fix reports after updates.
There is nothing in Report Preferences that would even change anything like this.
I shouldn't have to restore a backup.
There is this thing called Software QA where things like this are tested before going to a production environment. I can only imagine how that occurs.
