Why can't I edit a transfer using the mobile app?

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, LDCBooster.

You can edit bank transfers in your mobile app from the Transactions screen.

Here's how:

  1. Use your Menu (☰) icon.
  2. Go to Transactions.
  3. Choose an account you're working with.
  4. Find the transaction you want to edit.
  5. To make a quick edit, swipe left on your transaction record and tap Edit. You can also hit the record to open its details and make your changes.
  6. Select Save.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with transactions which may come in handy moving forward: Categorize online bank transactions

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a great Thursday!

Why can't I edit a transfer using the mobile app?

This is not an downloaded online transaction.  This is a transfer between accounts entered in to the account and can be accessed by "Chart of Accounts".  When finding the transfer, and opening it, there is not option to edit and save.

Why can't I edit a transfer using the mobile app?

This question is not related to downloaded transactions.  This is about a transfer entry entered in the the account that is accessible by "Chart of Accounts" and then selecting the account, and the transfer of interest.  There is no way to "edit" that transfer, then "save".  Thanks

Thanks for following up with those additional details, LDCBooster1.

While the QuickBooks Online mobile app is handy for on the go use, there are a few limitations when it comes to completing manual processes. Types of actions like editing transfers would need to be done in the full version of QBO, accessed from a web browser. The following link provides additional info about mobile accounting with the QuickBooks Online app.
