Why does the icon bar move itself to the side of the window, rather than the top, where I have it set?

You might have selected the Left Icon Bar option, caleb-hutchinsap.

You have me to help you get it back to the way you wanted to view the icon bar. You can do it by clicking the View menu, and then selecting Top Icon Bar.

Thank you for replying, I do have the top view selected.  It seems to revert to the left view without us changing us.

Thank you for replying.  We do have it set to top view, but it seems to change itself to left view on its own.

We can experience this behavior if there's an error with your QuickBooks. Update it to the latest release to make sure you have the most recent fixes. We can also repair your QuickBooks Desktop to avoid this from happening again. These are the steps to follow:

1. Create a back up file first.
2. Restart your computer and go to Control Panel.
3. Select Programs and Features then Uninstall a Program.
4. Click QuickBooks, then Uninstall/Change.
5. Hit the Continue, then Repair.
6. Select Next. Click Finish once done.
