I can see the importance of being able to track the details of your invoices. For now, only the timestamp will show on the Invoice activity report. Its not that I want the feature added, it was the feature was removed and was working great.
This KB article from Quick Books shows the feature (invoice activities) that was available up until the new changes.

It appears that this visibility was removed. If I can access this through a report function, then this could also work. Can you let me know if there is another way to view this previous useful feature?

After reviewing the screenshot, it seems that the invoice activity was intended for the user and not for the customer and this feature is no longer available.
I acknowledge the significance of monitoring invoice views for effective AR tracking and leveraging. Thus, I encourage you to provide your feedback requesting the inclusion of an option to view the individuals who have accessed your invoice.

Moreover, you can view your customer's invoice activity status after sending them an invoice. You can refer to the steps below on how to view an invoice's activity in QBO:
Additionally, QBO has enough tools to modify the appearance of your invoices. This way, you may also decide which information to include when sending them to your customers.

is the ability to see viewed/opened/sent activity gone forever? I ask because I have a client that relies on seeing if a customer has opened their invoice beause their client information/email address may or may not be correct, and seeing if an invoice has been opened has been one way to tell if they have an incorrect email address.
I too have noticed this. This is a vital feature for our business and I don't understand why it has been removed from Quickbooks On-line?? To be able to access a customers invoice via the Accounts Receivable Aging Detail report and see the history of when the invoice is sent and when they opened it is a valuable and quick way for keeping track of Accounts Receivable.
Is there any way to add this option back? If not, this is a major setback for our business and using Quickbooks.

I recognized the importance of tracking your invoices, and currently, only the timestamp is displayed on the Invoice activity report. However, you can still view the invoice activity in the All Sales page.
To request the option back, I encourage you provide feedback to our product team regarding the information you would like to see included and how it would benefit your business. I will provide you with the necessary steps to do so.

We very much use and rely on this functionality as well. As an I.T. Company or really any business for that matter, this is an important feature. I appreciate that we can still access and see the activity from the all sales tab but it would be nice if it was brought back to regular invoices.
I totally agree with all of the comments. Why was the feature taken away? As a small business owner, it is vitally important to be able to monitor if the customer has viewed the invoice. Please bring this feature back. Yes, I have left many feedback suggestions, but it seems to fall on deaf ears.
I came here because I miss that feature too. It looks like they moved that information to the invoice activity section. So to see it you would go to the customer's transaction list or all sales, click *somewhere* within the space where the invoice is listed, then a panel will open up with a list of all the activity (sent/viewed/paid/deposited). Mine is on the right of my screen. DO NOT click the edit invoice button. It will bypass the screen you need and take you directly into the invoice.
As far as I can tell if you go directly to the invoice using by the search feature or clicking edit invoice from the transaction list, you will not be able to see the activity log. I haven't found a way to navigate there from inside an invoice yet. I know the directions I posted above are awkward and not the way a lot of us are used to accessing invoices, but for now it's the only thing I've found. Hope it helps.

It took me a minute, but with your instructions, I found the activity. It is awkard, much simpler just to look at the invoice, but I will have to get used to the new system.
Thank you so much because that did help. I don't know why they changed things to "improve" them because it was so much easier to just look at the bottom on the invoice.

Feedback submitted but will it ever come back?
It is really important to our business to be able to track if and when our customers receive/open our invoices. This data helped us with our collection of payments. We relied on the date/time stamp and total number of days since we first sent invoice as well as how many days since we last sent it. We relied on knowing how many times we submitted it as well. We have hundreds of invoices out at a time and this helped track them. It is crazy that this data is not being shown since this last QB update! We are very disappointed and hope it shows up again-and soon!

I am also very disappointed that this feature disappeared. I was also using the detailed invoice activity in the invoice to see when the customer was viewing or opening the invoice as well as documenting when and how recently we resubmitted an invoice. This detail is important for AR tracking and leverage if payments have not yet been made.
PLEASE return this feature to us!
Our business is also experiencing the same issue. We rarely access invoices from the Sales tab, so this does not help us. When using the search feature to bring up an invoice, it was imperative that we could scroll to the bottom and see the Activity history. A list of when the invoice was sent and viewed should be available on the open invoice, not a different tab.
We really need this feature restored as soon as possible for our business' workflow.
Any chance this was an unintended mistake, and will be brought back? If it was intended, I'd love a better understanding of why it was chosen to remove such a useful feature.

Why did QB remove this feature?
Customer " we didn't pay the invoice because we never receivedit
US using QB online feature" the invoice was viewed on the following dates ... Please pay it today"
Am serious thinking of switching to another software.
@PBJ10 @CTEKim I also think if QBO felt it necessary to change this feature, QBO customers should have been given a headsup to the change and how to access the information since it is no longer visible on the invoice. The information from QBO would have saved me a lot of time searching and trying to figure out why the sent and viewed information was no longer visible on the invoice itself. It would have been unnecessary for me to have to go to the Community and spend my time trying to find the answer to my question - would have been a simple solution for QBO to let us know of their changes.

This data helped us with our collection of payments. We relied on the date/time info and the dates we first sent invoice as well as the days reminders were sent. We have hundreds of invoices out at a time and this helped track them. It is irrational that this data is not being shown since this last QB update! We are extremely disappointed and hope it shows up again and soon! A list of when the invoice was sent and viewed should be available on the open invoice for quick access, not a different tab. Please restore this feature as soon as possible.
