Join nowHi,
I would like to migrate from QB US to QB UK Desktop mainly for VAT purpose. Before migration I have few doubts to get clarified.
1. Backup restoration will be as same as QB US?
2. Attachments of Invoices or bills will be displaced after migration?
3. Migrating from Older version to newer version possible?
4. All the GL's and transaction will be the same or only opening balance will be displayed?

Hi @Fawaz040,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. Let me share some clarification about migrating to QuickBooks Desktop UK.
Currently, a direct way to migrate data from the US version of Desktop is unavailable. You'll need to find a third-party conversion tool to help you transfer the files.
Since we can't suggest an app you can use, I suggest visiting our QuickBooks Apps website. From there, you can find apps integrated with the QuickBooks program. Please visit this page: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/.
To know how data is converted, I suggest contacting third-party support. You can view the contact details directly in the App information. Here's how:
You can restore an old backup but the source needs to be a UK version too. The steps to restore a backup (.qbb) are still the same as the US version. To learn more about it, please check out this link: Restore a backup of your company file.
It's only possible to migrate to a newer version of QuickBooks UK if the older version you're using has the same region.
You can also check this article for more details about the complete list of file extensions and descriptions to help you understand more about the purpose of the file in QuickBooks: File types and extensions used by QuickBooks Desktop.
Keep us posted if you need anything else regarding the process. Have a great day.

Hi. I have migrated from Quickbooks US to UK. The UK version won’t read my existing company files which contains my database of clients and invoices.
How do I get my UK version to read my existing files?
