Is anyone else having an issue with not being able to add adjustments for sales tax.

Adding a sales tax adjustment is crucial in ensuring your sales tax records are accurate and up-to-date, @abcapitolblind. I've got troubleshooting steps to help you complete the task in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Crashing tabs in QBO are usually the result of outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. Browser caches help speed up basic browsing and can save time when loading buttons or tabs. However, it can impact processes and cause this unexpected behavior when your browser accumulates too much historical data. Not to worry, you can clear them in just a few easy steps.

We can start by accessing your QuickBooks account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can use these shortcut keys to save time:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Then, add adjustments for your sales tax. If you're able to do so, please return to your original browser to clear its cache or utilize another compatible one.

You might want to get a detailed look at the taxes you owe and why you owe them. See this article: Check how much sales tax you owe in QuickBooks Online.
