I am having trouble changing my sales tax filling frequency to Monthly from Quarterly. My tax agency changed my filling frequency starting 1/1/24. When I change the current one under Tax agencies, it goes and adjusts all my past year fillings. I don't want it to change any past year detail. When I make that line inactive and try to 'Add agency' it will not let me select Wisconsin. What am I missing here?

MY STATE ALSO CHANGED MY PAYMENT FREQUENCY TO MONTHLY BUT I STILL FILE THE RETURN QUARTERLY. DOES THIS CHANGE THE FILING FREQUENCY IN QUICKBOOKS TO MONTHLY OR SHOULD IT STAY QUARTERLY SINCE I'M FILING THE RETURN QUARTERLY, AND MAKING PRE PAYMENTS MONTHLY?
Yes, you still have the option to stay quarterly for filing frequency, @mevanson.
Ideally, it's best to maintain a quarterly filing frequency as the change only pertains to the payment schedule.
If prepayment occurs, the Sales Tax Center does not support monthly payments for quarterly filers. You can proceed to change the Sales Tax Setting to Monthly Filing Frequency.
