Using a template for an invoice and the template was created with one class. We realized after the fact the class should have different and updated the template, but the sales tax is still reporting to the first class. Do I need to reset up a new template, or is there a fix I haven't found?

We can open the transactions and then assign them to the correct class. Here's how:
1. Go to the Customers at the top menu bar and select Customer Center.
2. Click the name of the customer and open the transactions.
3. Assign the transactions with the correct class.
4. Once done, click Save and Close.

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned, the class had already been updated. All but the sales tax is flowing correctly on the financials, but the sales tax is still showing up under the original class. This is now causing my balance sheet by class to be out of balance. Any other thoughts on how to fix? Thanks again.

Once you've updated the class assigned to an invoice, the changes will also reflect on all reports. I suggest refreshing the program by closing and reopening QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
