Afternoon folks,
Wondering if this is a bug or what. The 'Sales Tax' section of Product/Service item creation or editing has suddenly disappeared for me. Creating a new item or editing an existing one, the space for the section still exists but there is no interaction possible.
I've tried browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), computers both Mac and Windows, and even downloaded the desktop app and tried that on both computers.
I am completely unable to edit sales tax, and a majority of our products are non-taxable. If I create a new one, it automatically makes it taxable.
Anyone have ideas for a fix? Much appreciated,

I posted about this yesterday - it looks like it was a bug as we are now seeing the Sales Tax section for our products and services.
When I tried to create a new invoice on Monday Dec 16th the city sales tax is missing but the state tax is there.
When I try to override the tax it turns a shade of gray- doesn't give me that option. Also, the city tax location is not on the drop down of agencies.
I've tried contacting QBO twice both by chat and phone call. Not resolved as of today. Any suggestions as I'm not able to invoice the customers at all this week
Thank you for joining the thread, @JC2018.
It's possible that the agency has been marked as inactive. Additionally, you mentioned that you override the tax however it's grayed out, which could possibly indicate that the custom rate in the Sales Tax settings has also been inactive. You need to re-create a custom rate to ensure it appears when generating an invoice.
I will guide you through the process of reactivating the agency.
Here's how:
2. Click Sales Tax Settings.
3. Find the agency that is inactive, then click Make active.
To add tax rates of the agency:
2. Select Add custom rate.
3. Kindly, put the information that is needed to be filled.
4. Click Save.
You'll see that it's now reflected in invoice, and you can choose what tax rate is applicable.

There must be a software glitch. All the Texas Agencies are missing and I am unable to add/change any of them as they are not on the drop down nor do they appear as inactive.
Only the Texas Comptroller shows.
Is there someone who can help me off line?
