When does the new state unemployment wage limit change in Quickbooks?

If you download the latest payroll updates, it should already be changed.

I downloaded all of the payroll updates and my Illinois Wage Base limit did not update to the 2023 amount. Any ideas why?
I downloaded all payroll updates and my Illinois Wage Base has not changed to the 2023 amount. Any ideas of what to try now?
I have the same problem -- also Illinois. Wage base should be $13,271 but it still shows as $12,960. If not updated soon, this will be a problem causing various adjustments for the higher wage earners. Thanks.
I am having the same problem too! I don't understand why this is taking so long to update...
I manually updated mine on the 11th and that worked. Then on the 12th I got an email saying the tax table was updated and to update QB - but I did the day prior. In the updates, it says I have tax table 22302. Maybe try and manually update yours again. I don't see that Illinois was in that update.

Hello everyone!
I can see how you guys want to update the wage base limits for Illinois State in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This ensures that the tax amount calculated on the employee’s paycheck is correct.
Before anything else, let’s ensure that we have updated the tax table. This way, you will be provided with up-to-date, accurate rates and calculations for federal and supported state taxes, payroll tax forms, and e-file and e-pay options: Get the latest tax table update in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
However, if you can still not get the latest wage base limits, I recommend you contact our Technical Support Team. In this manner, our phone support can thoroughly check your account and provide fixes in no time. Here’s how:

Let me know if you have more concerns with payroll. I’m just a post away. Have a good one!
I called support. We tried verifying and rebuilding data. Nothing worked. State Wage Base is still not updated. They didn't know what else to do.
I have the lastest update. I called support, we did a share screen. He had me verify data and repair files. Nothing worked and he said "They could not do anything else on their end. Didn't know what else to do." I also sent a "feedback online". We'll see if they respond. I've used Quickbooks since the 90's. Quickbooks need to send an update for Illinois!!
Same problem.
I just ran payroll update again (Jan 21). Illinois wage base is still showing $12,960.
Thanks for trying the steps shared in this thread, @jake31. I'll help fix your incorrect State Unemployment Insurance (SUI).
When state unemployment insurance (SUI) or state withholding (SIT) is computed incorrectly on an employee's paycheck, the issue is typically due to improper payroll items or employee state tax setup.
To make sure it calculates correctly on a paycheck, you must correct any error in the setup by checking the following:

Thank you for responding Katherine Joyce. I'm not sure you understand our problem. We have been accruing Illinois unemployment liability using Quickbooks for many years. The item was set up many years ago, is properly applied to Illinois employees and has worked fine up to now.
The problem is with Step 2 in your list below. When I check the payroll item I can see that the rate is correct, but the wage base is not correct even though I have run payroll update several times (we always run (the option for "download entire payroll update"). The wage base does not appear to be a number that I can edit as it is derived from your payroll tables.
Please note that we access the company file from more than one computer but are not working in multi-user mode. In other words, we have latest version of Quickbooks Desktop installed on both computers, but never have the company file open on both computers at the same time.
Thank you,
Jake
Good afternoon jake31,

It would be best to reach out to our Support Team to investigate this matter further and for them to escalate this as well. My colleague above shares those steps on connecting with us, and I encourage you to follow them.
Please let me know how the conversation goes! I will be around to assist further. Take care for now.
I called support and said they cannot do anything else
I am having the same issue with IL. I keep hoping it will be in one of these updates but it is not. Also, never had this problem before...always worked.
I, like many others, am having trouble with the Illinois State Unemployment Tax payroll item. I have applied the newest payroll updates. I am able to override the unemployment rate so that my tax percentage is correct. HOWEVER, illinois unemployment has a new WAGE BASE LIMIT of $13,271.00 which has not been updated by Intuit. The wage base limit is still showing last years limit of $12,960.00. There is no option for us to override this wage base limit by editing the payroll item. Why is this limit not being updated with the latest payroll update? It is VERY concerning that multiple people are indicating that Intuit/Quickbooks customer support is telling them that there is nothing they can do. This needs to be fixed!! Any work arounds? Any idea when a new payroll release will have this fixed?
That is not a fix! Is the Inuit team understanding the problem? we need a payroll update to modify the illinois state unemployment wage base limit to accurately reflect the new 2023 wage base limit of $13,271.00.
I am curious to know what version(s) of Quickbooks those impacted are using. I was on the phone with support today for 2 hours (very nice rep - know they were doing their best to help). Even though I told the person repairs, updates, re-installs, etc. were not working per the community out here, they insisted on working on my QB. So I let them share my screen and we repaired my file which did not work and then uninstalled/reinstalled QB twice which did not work. I have QBDT 2020. IL wage base still did not update to the new amount. The person said they would escalate the issue to level 3 support and then said to wait for the next update on 2/2/23 for fix. My question is when you look at the updates to other states so far this year, other state's wage bases have been updated. There is no IL on the list for any version of QB for 2023 with updates. So is the issue really that QB has not rolled out the update and they are blaming the 2020 software or am I missing something?
We are using Intuit QB Enterprise Solutions 2023. So, I don't think it is a problem with 2020 software. Hopefully they will get this resolved quickly!
I am using Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 with Enhanced Payroll and STILL having the issue of the Illinois state unemployment wage limit not updating to reflect the new 2023 wage limit. So disheartening to hear people are on the phone with Intuit support for two hours and going through the hassles of uninstalls and reinstalls only to have the problem not fixed. Who has the time for that when trying to run a small business? With the increasing subscription costs of Quickbooks i am rethinking whether I should try another competitors software for bookkeeping and payroll. This seems like it should be a relatively simple fix. Surely they can at least do an update to let us manually override the wage limit much like we can manually override our tax rate percentage. So frustrating!!! Hey Quickbook team - please chime in to let us know this has been escalated to the highest levels and advise when this will be fixed. Appreciate everyone sharing what they are doing to try to get this fixed.
Do you think you could call someone in your state tax department to see if they sent that information to Quickbooks? I'm not sure what else you could do.
Seems like everyone in Illinois is having the same issue with the wage basis for state unemployment not updating to 2023 limit. The only reason I use QB is for payroll. If this isn't going to be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, guess I'll start using a different program. It's too bad ... been using QB for about 20 years.
