If the file location has indeed been modified, you can perform a search for the files from there.
If it turns out that the file location hasn't changed and you're still unable to retrieve the first quarter filed form .pdf's, it's possible that these specific filings were not completed within QuickBooks. In this case, I would advise checking with the relevant tax agency to obtain copies of the CA Form 941 and DE9s for the first quarter of last year.
