Let me help you record the Federal Tax Refund in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Eisornoid.

You can record your tax return by using the Bank deposit. Here's how:

  1. Go to the New + icon.
  2. Under the Other section, select Bank Deposit.
  3. Fill out the needed details in every column.

Regarding what specific source (from) account and the exact information to enter on the deposit, I recommend consulting your accounting professional for accurate tracking. If you don't have one, you can find a professional through this link: Find an accountant.

After you record, you can check this article for guidance in reviewing the categorized downloaded transaction: Categorize online bank transactions.

Keep us posted if you have other questions about your tax return. I'll be around to help. Have a nice day.
