For security reasons, we cannot provide your Payroll PIN as this is a private security key you created during your Payroll Service setup, @Danielle.

Since you don't remember setting one up, you can check your email history for messages from Intuit when you first set up your payroll services.

Alternatively, If you can't locate your PIN, you can reset it using your QuickBooks Admin password.

Here's how:

  1. Login to your QuickBooks company file as Admin.
  2. Go to Employees, then select Send Payroll Data.
  3. In the Send/Receive Payroll Data window, select Send.
  4. In the Payroll Service PIN window, select Forgot your PIN?
  5. Enter your Admin password, then click OK.
  6. Create a new PIN and then select Confirm
  7. Hit Submit.

Please note that the new PIN must be 8–12 characters and include at least one letter and one number. Special characters aren't allowed.

For more details about changing your PIN or if you're having trouble with the reset process, please see Method 3 in this article: Change direct deposit PIN in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

In case you may need to reverse a direct deposit payment due to an error or duplicate payment, check out our article: Reverse a direct deposit in QuickBooks Payroll.
