We appreciate everyone's sentiments for sharing and letting us know about the experience you've encountered with the Web Connector Application with a revoked certificate, Jim and @StarSupply.

Allow me to chime in and share some information about this. As per checking our history, this QuickBooks error application with a Revoked Certificate is still an ongoing investigation. Please know that our product engineers are already aware of this issue and are implementing measures to provide timely resolution. Also, we recognize the urgency in resolving this as soon as possible and managing QuickBooks tasks when integrating your desktop file with third-party apps.

For now, you'll need to update the QuickBooks to the latest release to fix this error. Here's how:

Update all versions of QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

  1. Select the your version to download the QBWebConnector.exe. If you have more than one version installed select the download for the latest version
  2. Close all versions of QuickBooks completely.
    • Press CTRL, ALT and Delete on your keyboard at the same time.
    • Select Task Manager.
    • Make sure QBW.exe, QBW32.exe, and QBWebconnector.exe aren't running.
  3. Rename the QBWebConnector.exe:
    1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
    2. Enter
      • 64 bit Windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBWebConnector\.
      • 32 bit Windows - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBWebConnector\QBWebConnector.exe.
    3. Rename the QBWebConnector.ese to OLD_QBQWebConnector.exe.
  4. Go to File and select Open New Window.
  5. Open Downloads then copy the QBWebConnector.exe you downloaded in step 2 to the folder you used in step 4.
  6. Reopen QuickBooks Desktop and use Web Connector.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team to have your account information added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive updates through email notifications regarding the status of the investigation.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Go to the Help menu and click QuickBooks Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter the investigation number as the description and click Continue.
  4. Log in to your Intuit account, select Continue, then Continue with my account.
  5. Enter the single-use code you received in your email and click Continue.
  6. Choose between Chat with us or Have us call you.
